Daily Local Van Delivery
Capalbo's provides daily (except Sunday) van deliveries to the New York metropolitan area, including most of northern New Jersey, Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, as well as most of Westchester and Nassau counties. Delivery of local orders placed by 10:30 AM is attempted same day (except during December and other peak holiday periods) Monday - Friday. $25.95 minimum order for van delivery.
UPS Information
Capalbo's primary nationwide delivery methods are Ground service and 3 day service. Unless specified, Capalbo's will choose the most economical delivery means possible on holiday orders.
How to Ship Perishable gifts
(500 and 300 series - with fruit)
Perishable gifts bound for the Northeast region may be sent via UPS Ground (see white area on map above).
Perishable gifts destined for points outside the Northeast region must be sent via 3 day to guarantee optimum freshness (see gray area on map above). California state regulations prohibit us from shipping fruit gifts to points within that state.
How to Ship Non-perishable gifts
(700 and 800 series - without fruit)
Non-perishable gifts may be shipped ground service anywhere in the continental U.S. for only $4.99, or via 3 day delivery for only $15.99. We recommend our 700 and 800 series nonperishable gifts for economical delivery.
The Capalbo's Story
Our story begins in 1906, when our Italian immigrant grandparents, Rose and Domenico Capalbo, began selling fresh fruit and vegetables from a horse-drawn wagon in Nutley, NJ.
Their workday started before sunrise at Newark’s South St Market, where they carefully selected the day’s produce. They had to choose wisely, because their customers demanded the very best.
The quality of their products, excellent value, and attention to their customers’ needs helped the business flourish. In 1914, they opened a retail store at 339 Passaic Avenue in Nutley, our home ever since, and eventually added specialty foods to the store’s mix.
Our father, Frank, had the million dollar idea that changed our company forever. He combined our delicious fruit and imported treats into bountiful gift baskets that were perfect for any occasion.
Today our business has grown to serve customers across the country. We owe it all to our grandparents’ golden rules: premium quality, excellent value, and top-notch customer service.
